Project Description:

The County of San Bernardino sought to implement  fresher redesign for all 40 non public official websites across the county. In an effort to create and maintain a similar branding schema, our team created a pattern library of customizable components in Wordpress that could be used by client designers to build their own sites and still maintain a common look and feel.

 

Dilemma:

1) The look of client sites varied with a range from highly conservative to eclectic and did not serve to emphasize the County as a brand.

2) Client staff had varying skill levels as it relates to site design. The design team encouraged normalization through a basic Wordpress Admin interface.

Solution:

For each type of site, informational and marketing, we incorporated a design system that would allow for the client admins to use a wide palette to best align with that department or division's marketing strategy.

​

Achievement:

Out design team won a lot of acclaim from department officials by incorporating new ways to consolidate heavy content and by incorporating the Nixle Text Alert System that would allow users to subscribe to  news and emergency messaging at no cost.
